May 28 you, me and everyone we know

“Someday, everything is going to be different. When I paint my masterpiece.”
Bob Dylan really knew what he was talking about. It’s funny, we go through life thinking, when I buy, build, consume, or do this…I will be succesful. I will finally be happy. But life has taught us again and again, this is not the case. Wake up! Take time to really listen and pay attention to the world around you. It’s full of wonder, energy and action. Let’s all work on painting our collective masterpiece.

May 22 caffeine, how i love thee

Ok, I’m probably the one hundred thousandth person to offer this criticism/observation: What the f@ck is up with caffeine in this country? I’ve just returned from Starbucks, where upon I spent $3.75 on a grande iced caramel machiatto. I can’t believe it has come to the point where I can honestly rationalize spending this much money on a caffeine fix. I am a caffeine addict, a brown crackinated freak. My co-workers, friends and family have all noticed my addiction. Please help.

May 21 dead body floating

Shortly after arriving to work this morning, i noticed several co-workers huddling around a north-facing window (18th floor of a Chicago highrise). i walked over to see what was going on; when i looked down there were a team of police officers pulling a body out of the Chicago river. Very chilling. Strangly enough, everyone shuffled back to their desks as if nothing had happened. I watched at the boat pulled away with the dead body bungied to it.

May 14 luna: romantica

Oh baby, i got four new cd’s in the mail last night…one of them happens to be the new Luna album, ‘Romantica’. I have loved Luna for years, and the band keeps getting better. For those of you living in Chicago, they are playing at Metro on May 31.
